Eric Pulier: The Jack-Of-All-Trades

In an Interview, Interview.net asked Eric Pulier what inspired him to create vAtomic Systems, his latest venture. Pulier replied saying that no matter what he’s doing, he makes sure he looks at prevailing market trends. These usually indicate what the public wants and needs. With the vAtomic Systems, it was evident the games emerging digital goods could seriously impact the economy.

Pulier has four children; his day is usually busy. He always tries to get adequate sleep and waking up early. Morning is his best time for reading and preparing without any interruptions. He tries hard sticking to a routine schedule as well as dedicate time to all tasks before him. He turns his ideas into reality by always having a paper and a pen in handy for jotting down inspirations and thoughts. Afterwards, he could look back to expand on them.

New technology always draws irresistibly attention and interest to Pulier, especially when it concerns aspects of human. Genome editing is something that excites his interest, particularly with technologies such as CRISPR-Cas9. That involves the genes permanent modification in organisms. As regards to commerce, he thinks that the blockchain technology is going to become a huge impact on the economy.

Interview.net asked him about the habit that makes him a successful entrepreneur, and Pulier answered that some must find immediate solutions to problems. He needs time for writing things down plus thinking things through. That creative process gives him the opportunity to find effective solutions to problems.

Pulier advises other entrepreneurs to be patient. Nothing works continuously smooth on the first attempt. Also, it is important remaining flexible and evolving as the market behaves. He writes a book nderstanding Enterprise SOA to help teach in normal terms, how people can think bigger and understand how other businesses are making SOA work successfully. He loves using Google Docs because it makes things to be easier.

Pulier is ServiceMesh, Inc. Co-founder; he’s serving as its chief executive officer and Chairman. He served at CSC Australia Pty Limited and Computer Sciences Corporation both as a General Manager and Vice President. He directed CSC’s (Computer Sciences Corporation’s) delivery and creation of cloud offerings, enabling organizations to deliver the IT-as-a-Service from external and internal providers, dramatically lowering cost and increasing productivity.

Since June 24, 2005, Pulier served Santa Monica Media Corp. as its Secretary and Chief Technology Officer. In 1998, he founded SOA Software.
