Scott Rocklage began his career in 1990 where he served as the president of Nycomed Salutar Inc. for four years. During the four years, he served as the president, chairman and CEO of Nycomed interventional Inc. from 1992 to 1994.
From 1994 July until the year 2003 May, he was the founder and CEO of Cubist Pharmaceuticals. Scott joined 5 AM Ventures in the years 2003 as a project partner and progressed to Managing significant other in 2004. His responsibilities bore strategic leadership that resulted in FDA acceptance of three new drug applications.
These drugs are Omniscan TM Teslascan R, and Cubicin R. Scott also was board chairman of Relypsa and Novira. He is too a previous executive chairman of Ilypsa, Miikana, and Semprus and is presently the Panel Executive of Rennovia Kinestral and Cidara as well as on the Board of Pulmatrix and Epirus.
Scott’s 5 AM company is a venture capital one that deals with science majorly. For Scott, working encompasses a variety of activities from researching on new areas of science to interacting with the firm’s managerial team to organizing or attending board meetings.

One of the things that have contributed to his success is being organized, time conscious, keeping, and maintaining schedules. Scott also had other things to add; word of advice to entrepreneurs, that they should be ready to take risks that are measured if they should succeed, they should also take keen notice of team selection of the staff member’s right from the start.
He said what mostly lead to his failures was hiring a wrong employee, and this can be dealt with if you correct the mistake and not assume it is thinking that the person would change because of the business’s goals or objectives.
Scott Rocklage has a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the California University, Berkeley, and a chemistry Ph. D in from MIT-where he steered research in Richard R. Schrock’s laboratory, and this earned him a Nobel Award in Chemistry in 2005.
Scott is based in Boston MA and is also an inventor of more than 30 U.S patents with over a hundred publications, peer-reviewed. Scott has had over thirty years of experience in medical care.
